Instead of dispatching the customary festive tipple to its valued clients this Christmas, Dekko Window Systems is spreading the festive cheer in a more community-minded fashion.
The Lancashire-based fabricator is donating the cash it would usually spend on customer gifts to the Mission Christmas appeal, a charity initiative that gives Christmas presents to Manchester’s underprivileged children.
“This year we wanted to do something a bit different and more in keeping with the spirit of season,” said sales director Kurt Greatrex. “Mission Christmas is a massively worthwhile initiative, and it’s a chance for us to give something back to the local community. Consider it a gift from us and our fantastic customers – who’d we’d like to thank for foregoing their usual festive treat this year!”
“We’re delighted Dekko have decided to support Mission Christmas,” said a spokesperson for Key 103 Cash for Kids, the charity behind the appeal. “One in three Manchester children live in poverty, and it’s fantastic that local businesses like Dekko are doing their bit for thousands of deprived kids around the city this Christmas.”
To donate to the Mission Christmas appeal, you can visit the Key 103 website, or text KEY to 70808 and give £5.
