HR Administrator / Assistant
Supporting a Growing HR Team | Full-Time | Salary of £23,500 – £27,000 DOE | Office Based | Tech Savvy
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a highly organised and tech-savvy HR Administrator/Assistant to support our HR Manager and the wider business with daily HR operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a company undergoing transformation.
Reporting to: HR Manager
About the Role
As the first point of contact for HR queries, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment activities, supporting training administration, and ensuring smooth HR operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HR systems and employee records in compliance with GDPR
- Manage the HR inbox, responding to or escalating queries as required
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries via email, phone, and in person
- Organise meetings, take minutes, and support documentation needs
- Assist managers with the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Arrange and coordinate training sessions, maintain training records, and support induction processes
- Prepare and distribute employment contracts, reference requests, and new starter documentation
- Track employee holidays and sickness records, running key HR reports
- Monitor and manage exit questionnaires for departing employees
- General office administration and support for the HR team
What We’re Looking For
- A highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise confidently at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Previous HR administration experience or knowledge of employment law (advantageous)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced administrative role with a proactive and adaptable approach
